Day 2

We were underway by 6:50 am. Had to make the low bridges on time. The ones 20 ft or higher, we put down the radio antennas and ducked under.
Touched bottom only once without any problem.
Arrived at Southport Marina 4:30 pm. A long day but very warm in the bridge enclosure.
Going down the Cape Fear we went 12 mph with a setting for 9 mph.
We are both ready to eat, shower and wash cloths.

We are on the Neuse River about 2.5 miles from the entrance to AdamsCreek. Raining but not very cold. Started fixing things as we go.
Had a nice send off. We did leave at 7:10 AM. Our first big accomplishment. We will stay at Capser's Marina tonight
